8.2 

Description of the operational types and their 

 parameters

8.2.1 Defrosting

 

During the defrosting process, the display shows either

 

Abt or dEF or dEg.

 

Defrosting occurs generally by means of the electrical 

 

heating. On completion of defrosting, the compressor

 

switches itself on after the time given in P40 for drainage.

 

 The evaporator fan starts if the evaporator temperature

 

entered in P41 is not exceeded, or if the time entered in

 

P35 is completed following activation of the compressor.

 

The evaporator temperature can be shown in P08. If no

 

temperature sensor is connected to the evaporator, P08

 

will show „OFF“.

 
 

Defroster operational types

 

Using the P30 parameter, the type of operation of the

 

defroster can be selected.

 

- Defrosting initiated in a constant cycle

  

P30 

=x0

 

  Defrosting will be initiated if the time entered in P03 has

 

  elapsed since the initiation of the last cycle.

 

  Defrosting is completed if the evaporator temperature 

 

  exceeds the value entered in P39, or if the defrosting

 

  time exceeds the value in P04.

 

- Defrosting initiated dependent on the running time

 

  of the compressor 

 

  P30 = x1

 

 

 

  At the end of defrosting, the running time of the

 

  compressor is set to 0. When the running time of the

 

  compressor reaches the value entered in P03, defrosting

  

is 

initiated.

 

  Defrosting is completed when the evaporator

 

  temperature exceeds the value entered in P39, or if the

 

  defrosting time exceeds the value entered in P04.

 

- Defrosting is initiated at set times 

 

 

P30 = x2

 

  Defrosting is initiated if the internal clock reaches one of 

 

  the values entered in the parameters P12 – P23. If one of

 

  the values in P12 – P23 is at OFF, this switch- on time is

  

skipped.

 

  Defrosting is ended when the evaporator temperature

 

  exceeds the value entered in P39, or if the defrosting

 

  time entered in P04 is exceeded.

 

  This parameter is only available if a regulator with DCF

 

  signal receiver is connected.

 

- Defrosting is initiated dependent on the degree of 

 

  icing of the evaporator. 

 

  P30 = x3

 

  The defrosting starts, if the evaporator temperature is  

 

  below the ambient temperature less the value entered in  

  

P38. 

 

 

Example:

 

  Coldroom temperature = 5°C, P38 = 25

 

  The defrosting starts, if the evaporator temperature falls  

  

under 

-20°C.

 

  For safety reasons, defrosting will also be initiated if the

 

  running time of the compressor exceeds the value 

 

  entered in P03. It is therefore recommended that the

 

  value of approx 10 hours be entered in P03.

 
 

  Defrosting is ended when the evaporator temperature

 

  exceeds the value entered in P39, or if the defrosting

 

  time exceeds the value entered in P04.

 

- Additional defrosting is initiated if the coldroom  

 

  door is open for more than four minutes. 

 

  P30 = 1y

 

  Defrosting will be initiated in addition to the type of 

 

  operation entered in the value y if the fault „coldroom 

 

  door open“ is displayed.
