Table B – Maximum Support Spacing Distance Inline
Sprinkler Drop Tee
Note:
*Support spacing can be increased by one foot for lower pressures.
Table C – Hangers and Supports
Victaulic recommends that hangers designed and listed for supporting
CPVC be used to support Victaulic FireLock Sprinkler System Pipe. How-
ever, some hangers designed for steel pipe may be used if their suitabil-
ity is clearly established. These hangers must have a minimum

-inch,
load-bearing surface, and they must be selected to accommodate the
specific pipe size. In addition, they cannot contain rough or sharp edges
that contact the pipe, and they must not bind the pipe from axial move-
ment.
NFPA 13D permits “support methods comparable to those required by
local plumbing codes.” The above hanger/support requirements must
also be followed on NFPA 13D systems. The use of items, such as
“plumber’s tape” and “nailons” are not acceptable means to support
Victaulic FireLock CPVC Sprinkler System Pipe due to the reasons men-
tioned above. Any supporting device that requires a hammer and/or nails
for installation CANNOT be used with the Victaulic FireLock CPVC Sprin-
kler System.
