The passcode, auto logoff and auto logoff dwell are defined for each user specified as an administrator in
Privilege
on page 6.
Settings:
01 to 64 (only the numbers for those users defined to be administrators will be available)

Passcode
As discussed in
Login ID
on page 6, a login ID must be entered each time the control system is accessed. If
the user has administrator privilege, a passcode must also be entered. The passcode is used to provide a
second level of access security to the programming menus and must be 10 digits or less.

Auto Logoff
This setting is used to automatically log an administrator off of the control system if operations cease for the
amount of time specified in
Logoff Dwell
.

Logoff Dwell
If Auto Logoff was enabled, the Logoff Dwell time and units must be specified. If no communications take
place between the programming keyboard and the control system for the period of time specified in Logoff
Dwell, the administrator will be automatically logged off. This does not refer to remote keypads.

Configure Host Port
The host port is typically connected to a personal computer (PC) known as the “host computer”. The PC may
be used to send command codes to the control system, as discussed in
NOVA V1400 Host Computer
Interface Software Instruction Manual XX010
. Using the host port provides you with an additional method of
controlling your CCTV equipment and is jack J7 on the V1400X-SV-M System Supervisor board. Unless the
PC software automatically detects the control system’s communication settings, the PC’s communication
settings must be defined. The host computer and control system settings must agree.
