Using your Vertu phone
Wireless LAN
Your Vertu phone provides a wireless LAN function. You can use this function
to access the Internet or connect to a remote mailbox for PC mail if your
environment allows connection to a wireless LAN (if you have signed up with
a wireless LAN service provider, for example).
You can access the wireless LAN (WLAN) menu as shown below.

From the stand-by display, select
Menu » Tools » WLAN
or select
Menu »
Settings » Connectivity » WLAN
.

Then, select
Available WLANs
to search for any wireless LAN networks which
are currently available for connection. If you have not changed the default
settings, you can also access this menu by selecting
WLAN
from the
Go to
shortcut list (page 29) available with the [Navigation] key pressed from the
stand-by display.

To save the settings to connect to specific wireless LAN networks that might be
available in either ways of automatic WLAN search or configuring manually by
yourself, select
Saved LANs
.
>
Select
Internet connection
to define whether to display the screen for
selecting a wireless LAN access point or an access point of the mobile phone
network (packet data connection) just before starting to access the Internet or a
remote mailbox for PC mail.
>
Select
WLAN search
to always enable wireless LAN search and have the
icon displayed in the stand-by display when any wireless LAN, registered in
Saved WLANs
, is currently available for connection.
In some countries or regions, the use of Wireless LAN may be restricted.
For more details, check with your local authorities.
Music player
Open the music player to listen to music tracks, recordings or other MP3,
MP4, AAC, eAAC+ or Windows Media Player sound files that you have
transferred to your Vertu phone using File Manager in Vertu PC Suite.
To open the music player, select
Menu » Additions » Music player
from
the stand-by display.
Music files that you transfer to your Vertu phone are automatically added to
the list of songs in the music player.
Memory
Your Vertu phone has 4GB internal memory. When the memory is full, a
message is displayed. If this is the case, delete some files from the memory
before continuing.

The use of wireless LAN function consumes the phone battery
faster than normal.
