Using your Vertu phone

Display icons and indicators
When your Vertu phone is switched on, the following indicators appear at
the top of the display.
Status icons are displayed below the battery charge and signal strength
indicators. The most commonly displayed icons are:
The glowing earpiece
The light in the glowing earpiece flashes at different rates to indicate the
status of your Vertu phone.

In stand-by mode the light flashes slowly.

If you have missed a call or received a message the light flashes quickly.

When you are charging your Vertu phone from the mains or through your
computer the light will be on permanently.
This icon shows the signal strength when your Vertu
phone is used through a 3G (WCDMA) network. It
appears at the top left of the display. When using a GSM
connection,
appears.
This picture shows a strong signal.
This picture shows that the signal strength is weak.
To obtain a stronger signal, move to an area clear of
obstructions that may block the signal.
The battery charge indicator appears at the top right
of the display.
This picture shows a fully charged battery.
This picture shows that the battery charge level is
low and you need to recharge your Vertu phone
soon.
You have one or more
unread
messages.
(When this icon is evolving on the display, your phone is downloading
the message(s) from the network.)
You have a voice message waiting (may not be shown on all
networks).
The
Manner
profile is selected.
The
Flight
profile is selected.
The keypad is locked.
An alarm is set.
Bluetooth is switched on.
Packet transfer is active.
Your phone is detecting a wireless LAN (WLAN) network.
A WLAN network has been detected and available for connection
to the Internet.
WLAN is in use for connection to the Internet.
