54 Using your Vertu phone
Accessories
The following accessories are provided with your Vertu phone:

AC adapter (comprising the adapter itself and international adapter plugs)

Battery

Two USB data cables

One of the USB data cables is used to connect the AC adapter and your
Vertu phone. The other is used to connect your Vertu phone to a PC.
In addition, you can also use a vehicle charger or other optional
accessories. For more information on accessories approved for use with
your Vertu phone, please contact Vertu Customer Service (page 34) or
refer to the Vertu official website.

Battery
Your Vertu phone is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery
intended for use with your Vertu phone is BL-5C. Vertu may make
additional battery models available for your Vertu phone. The AC adapter
intended for use with your Vertu phone is AC-31.
The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or three
complete charge and discharge cycles.
If a battery is being used for the first time, or if the battery has not been
used for a prolonged period, it may take several minutes before the
charging indicator appears on the display or before any calls can be made.
Battery talk and standby times are estimates only and depend on signal
strength, network conditions, features used, battery age and condition,
temperatures to which battery is exposed, use in digital mode, and many
other factors. The amount of time your Vertu phone is used for calls will
affect the standby time. Likewise, the amount of time that your Vertu phone
is turned on and in the standby mode will affect the talk time.
You can maximise the performance of the battery by switching off certain
functions.
The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will
eventually wear out. When the talk and standby times are noticeably
shorter than normal, replace the battery.
Note: If the battery is removed from your Vertu phone for longer than
an hour, you may need to reset the date and time.
