Using your Vertu phone

Camera

Your Vertu phone incorporates a 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and 
integral LED flash. Together with the 16 million colour QVGA screen, it 
produces crisp, high quality images. 

The phone also supports an image capture resolution of 2592 x 1944 
pixels. Pictures are saved in jpg format and video clips are saved in 3gp 
format. For information on the storage location where the images and video 
clips you take are saved, refer to "Gallery" (page 46).

Taking photos

1. To start Camera, select

2. To zoom in or out, move the [Joystick] key up or down.

Taking videos

You can manage various types of media files, such as the photos and video 
clips you took with your camera, or music files you transferred from your 
PC, in

To display the Gallery, select

When your Vertu phone leaves our workshop, it is set so that when Gallery 
is launched, you will see the 

Media

 folder in the uppermost row, which 

represents the content of the internal memory card. Beneath that will be 
multiple media folders for the contents saved on the phone memory.

A set of world maps data, used by 

World Maps

 (page 51), is pre-installed 

on the internal memory card. In addition, the following types of files are also 
saved on the internal memory card, whose top level folder is “

Media

”, 

followed by the lower-level sub folders as shown below:

Images

 folder: If the default configuration has not been changed, photos taken 

with Camera are saved in this folder.

Video clips

 folder: If the default configuration has not been changed, video 

clips taken with Camera are saved in this folder.

Recordings

 folder: If the default configuration has not been changed, sound 

clips recorded using Voice recorder (

saved in this folder.

Received files

 folder: Media files, including images and video clips, transferred 

to your Vertu phone using Bluetooth, are saved in this folder.

In addition, such media files as images or video clips, received as E-mail 
attachments and then saved to your Vertu phone, are stored in the root directory 
of the 

Media

 folder.

The pre-installed ringing tones and themes (page 27) can be found in the 

Menu

 folders (phone memory), respectively

When saving files you download from the Internet or saving media files 
attached to PC mail, you will be asked each time where to save those files, 
and can therefore select the storage folder you would prefer.

If necessary, you can move or copy these files to different folders using the 
left [Selection] key
