Using the loud speaker for hands-free calls
When you are currently in a call following the procedure in "To make a call:"
(page 32) or "To receive a call:" (page 32), you can switch it to the hands-
free mode by the steps below.
1. To switch to hands-free mode, select
Loudsp.
(right [Selection] keys)
during a call.
>
The hands-free mode is activated, and the voice output starts from the loud
speakers (page 17) located at the right and left sides of your Vertu phone.
>
If you are the calling party and have just placed a call to the other party, you
may also be able to select
Loudsp.
even before the called party answers that
call.
2. To return to the normal speech mode, select the [Selection] key (Right)
once again.
>
Once the hands-free mode is activated, the menu displayed at the bottom
right of the screen changes from
Loudsp.
to
Handset
. Thus, to return from
hands-free mode to normal speech mode, you now select the [Selection] key
(Right) again, whose menu is now shown as
Handset
at this point.
Adjusting the listening volume
To adjust the earpiece or speaker volume while you are in a call, move the
[Joystick] key upward or downward as necessary.
Ending or rejecting a call
To end an ongoing call or to reject an incoming call without answering it,
press the [End] key.
Other options available during a call
By pressing
Options
(left [Selection] key) during a call, you can also select
the following features during a call.
Displayed options may vary depending on the situation. Some selected
features may not function as expected when the network (your service
provider) does not support those services or when you have not subscribed
to them, turned them off or have not subscribed to some other associated
services such as Call waiting. For example, if you are a VERTU Club
member and using a VERTU Club SIM in Japan, you cannot use the
“Conference” feature, even if this option is displayed on the screen.
