contact with strong magnets. If your timepiece shows a
sudden change in the accuracy of its timekeeping, please
contact a Vertex agent to check for magnetism.
Water-Resistance
The water-resistance of your Vertex Dive Watch is
stated in both units of pressure (BAR) and metres. In
keeping with the highest standards of dive watches,
your
new Vertex timepiece has a water-resistance of 60 BAR
or 600 metres
. Please note only the BAR measurement
is applicable to dive depth having undergone stringent,
dive specific testing whereas the metre measurement
only indicates water-resistance and not the watch’s
functionality under water. We recommend annual checks
with a Vertex agent, especially if the watch is exposed to
unusually harsh elements. As mentioned in the time and
date setting sections, while underwater the crown should
not be moved or utilized for any purpose whatsoever.
Cleaning the Watch After Diving
To prevent salt accumulating on the case, bracelet, strap
and clasp or buckle, your watch should be rinsed under
running tap water after diving, especially when diving in
seawater.
How Often Should the Dive Watch be Serviced?
Your unique lifestyle and wearing habits as well as the
environment and physical intensity of use all determine
the optimal service cycle of your new Vertex Dive Watch
and the recommended intervals between them. As a
result, we suggest wearing your watch for as long as you
are comfortable with its functionality, which, if treated
with care, should be indefinite. You need only consider
a service if you notice an abnormality in its performance
and timekeeping, in such an instance we would be
delighted to return it to optimal functioning with our
standard servicing procedure.
