Turning on location services
You can choose to turn on location services to allow apps to use your
location information and provide you with a rich mobile experience. For
example, your GPS location can be stored on the photos that you take with
the Camera app. You can also use Maps to display your location.
1.
Swipe down from the top edge of the screen with one finger.
2.
Tap
All settings
>
location
.
3.
Tap the Location services
On/Off
switch. Apps for which you
enable location services can now access your current location.
Turning off a location service means no applications on your phone will
collect your location data through that location service. However, third
party applications may collect—and your phone may continue to provide—
location data through other services, including through Wi-Fi and signal
triangulation.
