To connect one storage shelf to the appliance

Connect a SAS-3 cable to the left RAID port in the appliance.

Be sure that the blue tab on the cable connector in the appliance port points
down.

Connect the other end of the cable to port A in the top I/O module of the storage
shelf.

The blue tab should be on the same side of the SAS-3 cable as the SAS-3
label when the cable in connected .

Adding one or more storage shelves to an operating appliance that does not have any storage shelves
