7.9. Replacing the Extraction

Handpiece Contra-Angle Head
Nozzle

The nozzle is located on the tip of the contra-angle head, as shown
in

Figure

7-1. The nozzle should be replaced if a vacuum leak is

detected from the contra-angle head.

Caution

The screwdriver, provided for performing the nozzle
replacement, is not sterile and cannot be sterilized.

Make sure to clean, lubricate, and sterilize the contra-angle head
after replacing the nozzle.

To replace the nozzle of the extraction handpiece contra-angle
head:

Verify that the contra-angle head is disconnected and removed
from the handpiece body.

Insert the screwdriver into the two slots of the contra-angle
head nozzle.
