CI 3000
If a Communication Interface Module (e.g. CI 3000) is connected to the
navigation system as an extension, you can use different standard
hands-free units and current mobile phones with the system. Selected
functions of your mobile phone are then available to you in a well
laid-out and convenient manner via the monitor of your navigation
system.
If a compatible hands-free unit is connected to the Communication
Interface Module and if the cradle contains a suitable mobile phone with
SIM card and the PIN code has been entered, the Telephone option will
appear in the Start menu. The main functions of your phone are available
in this menu.
CIX 3000 Blue
Alternatively you can add the CIX 3000 Blue extension module to the CIX
3000. The CIX 3000 Blue is a Bluetooth hands-free unit. It replaces the
commercial hands-free unit and mobile phone unit cradle and allows you
to communicate while driving without the need for cables thanks to the
Bluetooth data transmission standard. You will require a compatible
Bluetooth mobile phone for this application.
At www.vdodayton.com or www.C-IQ.net and by dialling the C-IQ Service
Centre on 00800 99 33 33 33 you will find current compatibility lists for all
supported mobile phones and hands-free units.
The Bluetooth connection requires pairing or linking of your mobile
phone with the CIX 3000 Blue. You can also carry out the “pairing
process” without the navigation system. For further information please
see the CIX 3000 Blue operating instructions.
The mobile phone can only be operated directly from the phone once the
ignition has been switched off. To operate it via the monitor and remote
control, the ignition must be switched on.
