Emergency calls
Even without the SIM card inserted an the PIN entered into the mobile phone, the emer-
gency number "112" (standard emergency number for all GSM networks) can be dialled.

In order to make an emergency call using the hands-free unit, the mobile phone must be
ready for operation and must have adequate radio contact to a GSM network.

It is possible that this emergency number is currently not yet implemented in all GSM
networks.
Dialling another emergency number is only possible with a SIM card inserted and after
entering the PIN. The mobile phone must be connected to the GSM network.
1. Call up the "Emergency" menu (see navigation system operating instructions).
2. Select "For emergency call:".
3. Confirm the subsequent message with "OK" within 5 seconds.
The connection is established.

For selection of the call number for "For assistance call:" (breakdown service), the
mobile phone must be ready for operation and connected to a network. This option is
not available without a SIM card and without a PIN being entered.
The call number for the "For assistance call:" is freely programmable via the "System
Settings" option. See also navigation system operating instructions.
