Ratio
You can select different Playback Modes including Zoom, Box, Panscan
and Normal.16:9 widescreen format is commonly used for DTT broadcast
in Hong Kong. If 4:3 format is selected, the black bars will be included in the
image on the side of the screen.
in order to obtain the best view, the Aspect Ratio Correction can be used to
remove these black bars or you can simply press the ASPECT button for
the change of aspect ratio.
6.1.2 Audio Output
HDMI
Audio
HDMI is unique that it can transmit both video and audio along the same
cable. It is very commonly used among HDTV users as it offers high quality
audio output and is convenient to use.
You can choose PCM format (connected to an amplifier with HDMI input).
S/PDIF
Audio
S/PDIF Audio Output can be used for connecting the Digital Audio Output to
an amplifier. By default the digital audio is transmitted in PCM format
(Bitstream off) for maximum compatibility with TVs.

Language
This menu allows you to choose the language for the VD-R Menu. There
are options include English and Traditional Chinese..
