Commissioning
with terminal program
Data terminal You can connect a data terminal to the VideoJet 100 for putting the
unit into operation and for the local control. The data terminal con-
sists of a computer with a terminal program. For the connection use
a serial standard cable.
You can use e.g. the Windows application HyperTerminal as termi-
nal program.

First, disconnect the VideoJet 100 from the network.

Connect the sub-D jack COM2 of the VideoJet 100 to a free serial
port of the computer.
Configuring the
terminal program The transmission parameters have to match for communication
between terminal program and VideoJet 100. Set the following val-
ues for the terminal program:

19,200 Bits/s

8 data bits
!
No parity check
!
1 stop bit
!
No protocol
