8  Start-up 

8.1 

Initial start-up 

 

IMPORTAN T  

The initial start-up may only be performed by VC999 Customer Service representatives! The 
customer’s personnel will receive thorough training at the same time. 

 

 

DANGER 

Unauthorised initial start-up itself can result in injury or damage to equipment or property! 

 

8.1.1  

Installation check 

§

  Have all the lines and cables been properly laid and connected (no places where they may be bent 

or chafed or where people may trip)?  

§

  Is the oil level in the vacuum pump OK? 

§

  Are all the panels and covers in place? 

 

8.1.2  

Switching on the machine 

The controls are explained in the “Controls” section. 
 

§

  Switch on the machine at the main switch (1). 

(Turn the main switch to I) 
The current version of the control software is 
shown on the left L ED display. 

 

§

  Press the “Vacuum pump” button. The vacuum 

pump is then started. The lid of the vacuum 
chamber then opens upwards automatically if the 
vacuum chamber has not already been opened 
manually beforehand.

DANGER  

Take care not to trap your fingers between the lid 
and the bottom part of the machine as the lid of 
the vacuum chamber opens! As you open the lid, 
make sure that there is no-one in this potentially 
dangerous area!
