Connect the +12V Power Output of the VBrick through a switch to the event pin on the
COM1 port.

Connect COM1 output pin (pin1 RTS or pin2 DTR) through a switch to a COM1 event pin.
For this method to work, you must force the desired output pin (RTS or DTR) to On via
IWS:

To force the desired output pin to On:
1. Go to the
Configuration: Passthrough
page in IWS.
2. Change COM1
Passthrough State
to
Responder
and click
Apply
.
3. Change
RTS/DTR Control
to
Force On
and click Apply.
4. Change COM1
Passthrough State
to
Disabled
and click
Apply
.
5. Click
Save Config
when done.
