• Store your ebike in a clean dry place.
• Clean your ebike after riding in a wet condition and store in a dry place to avoid rust and
corrosion.
• Always remove the battery when cleaning or servicing your ebike.
• Clean your ebike frame with a wet cloth and mild detergent.
• If it is necessary, clean the battery and the battery housing with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid
spraying water because it may damage the battery or cause a short circuit.
• After cleaning ensure lubrication is applied where necessary.
• Make sure your ebike tires are always inflated to a recommended pressure which is printed on the
side of the ebike tires.
• Periodically clean and lubricate moving parts and keep components tight.
• Lube your chain regularly every 150 km. Use a special ebike lube to maximize performance and
get a smooth ride.
• Before each ride inspect wires and connections to make sure there is no damage.
• Do not transport your ebike on a vehicle rack when it is raining, because it can allow water to
infiltrate the electrical components.
The vBikes are not waterproof. Although the electrical components can get wet and not sustain
damage in most rain showers, it is not recommended to ride or store the ebike in wet conditions or
severe weather. Water damage is not covered under warranty.
Electric bicycles are regulated in Canada but regulations vary depending on your
country/state/province/city. It is the rider responsibility to stay informed of local
laws and obey them. You may contact your local authorities, electrical bicycle
shops or bicycle associations to obtain more information on legal requirements.
You are required to be 16 or more, wear a helmet for your own safety and use front and rear lights
for increased visibility especially after sunset. You must check your local regulation to ensure that
you are riding legally and safely. These laws may specify the need for mandatory equipment, use of
hand signals, and where you can ride.
