TermInaTIOn COnneCTOr
A XLR termination connector is required at the last luminaire (or “far end of the line”)
to prevent signal reflections. Signal reflections may cancel out the signal at certain line
lengths, resulting in errors. The terminator is also necessary for software downloads and
running tests on multiple luminaires. To construct your own connector, you will need the
following components:
• 5-pin, male XLR connector.
• Two 1/4W 5% 120 ohm resistors.
NOTE:
A male termination connector is available as an accessory from Vari-Lite.

DATA CABLES - NETWORK/RJ45
The luminaire is equipped with two RJ45 Ethercon compatable connectors. This pair of connectors include a passive
pass-thru that will allow signal to pass even if one unit is powered down. Cables should be Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 and
should be equipped with IP65 or higher rated etherCON compatible connectors.
