Installation preparations
Before installation of the Cooler to the x-ray system, the following preparations shall be performed, see
also §1.5.
1.
No blocking of air is allowed at the radiator side and at the fan side. A free area of at least 50 [cm]
deep with the height of the Cooler is required.
2.
Take care of using the right electrical connectors. See §9 for the right specifications.
3.
Place the Cooler on an appropriate and level location and be sure that the Cooler is level before
filling it.
4.
Remove the sealing caps of the hydraulic connections with tool B by turning counterclockwise.

Installation instructions
WARNING:
Make sure the requirements for SERVICE PERSONNEL from §1.5 are met. When these
requirements are not met this can cause fatal or serious injuries to a user, engineer or
other persons/bystanders, or can lead to a mistreatment.
Before the Cooler can be used, it needs to be properly installed. The installation requires several steps
that must be executed in this sequence:

Installation of the hydraulic connections

Recommended is an internal diameter for hoses of 12mm with a maximum length of 40m for an
optimal operation of the Cooler. See §9.
2.
Connect the needed type of hydraulic connectors to the Cooler hydro block. Use 3/8”
G/BSPP/BSPF/BSPM/PS threaded connections at the Cooler side.
3.
Be sure that the connection is leak tight by using a sealant.
3.6.
Filling the system
1.
Be sure that the sieve cap is screwed tight in the filter block by using a large screwdriver, tool C.
2.
Be sure that the ball valve is opened by setting the slot of the ball valve screw horizontal and in
line with the notches on each side of the screw by using a large screwdriver, tool C.
3.
Use a funnel for filling on top of the radiator without spilling.
4.
Fill the Cooler with a mixture of max 50% glycol and tap water*, mix before filling. See §9 water
specifications.
5.
Fill the cooler until the water level is 2cm lower than the top of the heat exchanger and close the
radiator with the filling cap. The level switch will be activated now.
6.
Let the system run for a few minutes and refill again as stated in line 5.
7.
Check if all hydraulic connections are leak tight.
