Why is the device disconnected from the base station while the connection to the
application center is uninterrupted?

This usually happens when the SIM card is not properly inserted into the SIM slot
and the Dtool page is not refreshed. Wait about 15s (default timeout for auto
refresh) or refresh the page manually, and you may see the connections to both
the base station and the application center failed. At this point, the RS232/485
LED indicator on the device might also be off and the ERR indicator might be solid
red. To solve this issue, eject the SIM card and re-insert it to the SIM slot.

In certain cases, the connection to the application center will fail even if you re-
insert the SIM card. Navigating to
Device Manage
and rebooting the device will
possibly solve the problem (no more actions needed after reboot).
3.
I cannot connect the device to the host computer, what is the possible reason?

The serial debug port
DOES NOT
support hot plug. Therefore, once you unplug
the adapter cable from the device or host computer, please power off the device
and re-connect it to the power supply before trying to connect the device on the
Vantron Dtool.

In certain circumstances, this issue comes when the device has been running for
a long time. Try to restart the device to solve this issue.
