3.3
Data Transport Test
Before you use the DE20-BT for data collection from a PLC/sensor, try to test if it works
properly by connecting the serial communication port to a host computer other than a
PLC/sensor and use a serial debugging tool for data transmitting and receiving test.
1.
Connect both the serial debug port and serial communication port of the device to a
host computer using proper adapters;
2.
Input the IP address of a public TCP server (not necessary, you can input that of your
own data center) in the Vantron Dtool for data display;
3.
Run a serial debugging tool (Uart Assistant for instance);
4.
Select the correct COM number of the serial communication port and configure the
serial port in the debugging tool;
