About the Vanguard 6435/6455

PRI Supplementary Service

Introduction

The PRI Supplementary Services provide transparent support for supplementary

PBX services, so that proprietary PBX features are not lost when connecting PBX’s

through the Vanguard Managed Solutions Vanguard gateway networks. Examples of

these features are:

• Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP)
• Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) in temporary mode
• Call Holding
• Call Transfer
• Call Forwarding
• Call Waiting

Note

Release 6.0 and greater includes end-to-end support for Q.Sig supplementary

services for the 6455 and 7300 Series platforms. This capability is consistent

with the services now available for BRI on these same platforms.
