Adjustment of treatment settings
The treatment settings can be adjusted via a Web-based interface. The interface and
related instructions can be found at http://www.valkee.com/myvalkee. The interface can
be used to adjust the treatment level (duration and intensity of the light treatment). If you
so desire, you may also turn the signal sounds off.
Cleaning
Clean the ear pieces after each use. Remove the silicone fittings, and clean the
components with a damp cloth or soft paper, to ensure that they do not become
damaged. Be careful not to scratch the photoconductors – they are easily damaged! If
the photoconductors are damaged, the amount of light produced by the LEDs and the
treatment efficiency of the device are reduced.
Removing the device from use
It is prohibited to dispose of the device with household waste. The device and the supplied
lithium-ion battery must be recycled or otherwise disposed of in compliance with the
regulations in force. Do not open the device or disconnect the battery. If the battery comes
loose or is removed, it must not be opened, taken apart, or modified. If the battery leaks,
avoid skin or eye contact with the electrolyte. If contact occurs, immediately rinse your skin
and eyes with water and contact a doctor. Do not use a damaged battery. Keep the device
and the battery out of the reach of children. Keep the device away from open flames – the
battery could explode.
