PROBLEMS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS

IMPORTANT! If the machine still fails to operate correctly after you have carried out the opera-
tions below, or in the event of anomalies other than those described above, take it to an authorised
service centre showing proof of purchase, and ask for original spare parts. Always provide the
information shown on the technical data label.

The engine does
not start
The starting switch is in the off position
“O - OFF”
Push the on/off switch to the starting ”I-ON” position
No fuel in the tank
Refuel up to the max. level and wait 1 minute before
starting
Old, dirty fuel or fuel contains water
Empty the tank completely and refill with new fuel
Fuel cock is closed (if applicable)
Open the cock
The fuel lines are clogged or bent
Contact an authorised service centre
Tank is dirty or contains water
Completely empty the tank and refill with new fuel
Dirty, worn or broken spark plug
Clean the spark plug and check the distance between
the electrodes, replace if necessary.
Spark plug cap disconnected
Put the spark plug cap back on
Starter in movement position
Activate the starter in the starting position
No engine oil
Restore the oil level and have the machine checked
Load applied to sockets
Disconnect all the plugs from the generator sockets
Mechanical or electrical failure
Contact an authorised service centre
The engine starts
but stops imme-
diately.
The engine stops
after plugging the
electrical load
into the genera-
tor socket.
The fuel tank cap has a closed bleed hole Open the bleed hole
No fuel
Refuel

Reposition in an open place with good ventilation
Air filter is dirty
Clean or replace the air filter
The generator does
not supply electrical
energy
The line switch on the generator is on “O - OFF”
(where fitted)
Push the line switch to the “I - START” position
The AC 230V electrical overload protection has
intervened
Reduce the electrical load applied. Check there are no broken
parts or short circuits in the user appliance.
The DC 12V battery charger protection has
intervened.
Check the battery is not broken or shorted. Then press the protec-
tion restore button.
Alternator broken
