ding to the highest quality standards, guaranteeing you long term service and safety.
WARNING! Before using this appliance, make sure you read and follow the instruc-
tions, drawings and technical data contained in the enclosed sheet, which will
enable you to move, prepare, start, stop and maintain it correctly. Before starting
work you should be familiar with the controls and the correct use of this machine,
making sure that you know how to stop it in the event of an emergency. Improper
use of the machine could cause serious injury. Please keep these instructions and
the attached sheet in a safe place and have them available for further reference
if needed. The enclosed sheet, containing the machine’s serial number label and
technical data, is also a guarantee document.
WARNING! The machine is suitable for trimming hedges, bushes and shrubs. Any
other use not indicated in these instructions can cause damage to the machine
and constitute a serious risk to the user.

GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
PLASTIC BAGS ARE NOT TOYS
WARNING! Risk of suffocation. Plastic bags can cause suffocation, if included in
the package stuck on the head and must be kept away from children, if not more
reusable must be cut and disposed of in the trash.
The machine can cause serious injury. Carefully read the instructions in order to
move, commission, maintain, start and stop the machine correctly. Become familiar
with all the controls and the correct use of the machine.
1) This machine must not be used by children or any persons not fully aware of
the instructions for use contained in this manual. Local laws and regulations may
establish a minimum age for use of the machine.
2) Always remember that the machine operator is responsible for third parties and their
property in the working area, and will be held liable for all accidents and damage
caused by use of the machine.
3) Only work during daylight hours or with sufficient artificial lighting.
4) Always check the efficiency and integrity of the machine; if it is not in good operating
conditions, the machine can pose a hazard to those operating it.
5) Before starting to use the machine, ensure that the engine ventilation holes are free
and clean them whenever necessary.
6) Always ensure that all the guards are assembled firmly and never remove any of the
machine components. Do not modify the original configuration of the machine in any way.
7) Transfer the fuel carefully as it is extremely inflammable. Never add fuel to the
tank when the engine is switched on or hot. Stay far away from heat sources when
refuelling and do not smoke. If you spill any fuel or there is any overflow of fuel
from the tank during refuelling, dry with a cloth before starting the engine. Do not
inhale the petrol fumes as they are toxic. After refueling, make sure to close the cap.
8) Do not use fuels or inflammable liquids for cleaning the machine.
9) Free the engine and exhaust from twigs, leaves or any excess of fuel and lubricant
in order to reduce any fire risk.
10) Periodically check that the screws are tight.
11) Do not allow yourself to be distracted and always pay attention to what you are
doing. Use your common sense. Never use the machine when you are tired or
under the effect of drugs, alcohol or substances that can affect your reflexes or
ability to concentrate.
12) Limit your use of the machine to a period of no more than 30-40 minutes at a time
and have breaks of at least 10-20 minutes. Do not exceed two hours of work per day.
13) Do not use the tool in closed or poorly ventilated areas or in the presence of
flammable and/or explosive liquids, powders, gasses or anything else of this kind.
14) Keep a safe distance from property, people and animals and do not allow them to
approach while you are working.
15) Keep children away from the work area.
16) Prevent other people from touching the machine.
17) Do not use the machine if the cutting device is damaged or badly worn.
18) Do not attempt to repair the machine. Should there be any breakages or excessive
wear of any parts of it, have it checked by qualified staff in authorised service centres.
19) Always wear tight fitting clothes, but which do not prevent free movement and
shoes with non-slip soles.
20) Whilst working always wear protective goggles, suitable protective gloves and
headphones for sound protection.
21) Tie long hair back and do not wear bracelets or long necklaces as they could get
tangled in the moving parts of the machine.
22) Always ensure that the handles are clean and the switch control levers can move freely.
23) For transporting the machine use the front handle and cover the cutting blade
with the guards provided.
24) Always stay at a safe distance from the blade teeth.
25) Never grab the machine by the cutting blade.
26) Always keep the work area free from obstacles.
27) Use the machine carefully and always hold it with both hands. Before starting it
and during use, ensure that you are in a stable and safe position.
28) Switch off the machine and remove the spark plug cap when: you leave the ma-
chine; you are doing any type of maintenance or cleaning on the machine; you are
oiling the cutting blade; or before removing the object causing a blockage should
the cutting blade get blocked.
29) In case of emergency, stop the machine by releasing the control levers and switch
it off putting the switch in the OFF/O position, keeping tight hold.
Warning! When the accelerator lever is released, the blades carry on moving for
a few seconds.
30) When you are not using the machine, put it away in a dry place out of the reach
of children, with the blade protected using the protection devices.
31) Whilst using the machine, be aware of the surrounding environment and take care
of any possible dangers that may not have been observed due to the noise made by
the machine. Pay attention to overhead electricity, keep a distance of at least 10m.
32) Do not force the tool. It will carry out the job better and more safely at the intended speed.
33) If possible, mark off the work area with markers for your safety and the safety
of others.
34) Only use this machine in the way described in these instructions.
35) Do not use the machine if there are any damaged components.
