4.5. Data Requests and Output Formats
The rapidPro is designed to be used with Valeport’s Connect software. However, the instrument will connect as a
serial port and respond to a series of text commands that are detailed below. Note that this list is not
comprehensive, but will allow the standard functions of the instrument to be accessed. For more detailed
information, please contact Valeport Ltd.

Your Terminal program must be set to ‘Send Line Ends with Line Feeds’

Valeport recommend their Terminal x2 comms App that is available from the website

All commands must be confirmed using “Carriage Return” or “Enter” on the keyboard, with the exception of the
“Stop” command (#).

All commands are echoed back by the instrument as they are typed
4.5.1. Stop Command
The instrument can be stopped at any time by sending the ‘#’ character.
The instrument returns a ‘>’, and waits for a further command.
