4.2. Switching On/Off
The rapidPro is switched on/off with a magnetic switch in the top of the instrument. The instrument is supplied
with two magnetic keys - Mag Keys, for this purpose. When the key is inserted into comms end cap, the
instrument will be switched OFF.
To switch the instrument ON, the Mag Key should be removed. It will take ~15 seconds for the instrument to
initialise.
If both keys are lost, it will be necessary to remove the ProLogger from the instrument in order to turn the power
off.
Note: On removing the key and initialising the instrument a new pressure observation will be taken and used as
the default Atmospheric pressure Tare value, recorded in the header with a time stamp and applied to recorded
data. See section
'Pressure Tare' .
