b. Remove the armature assembly using an
armature puller. Remove the shims from the
compressor driveshaft or armature assembly.
3. Remove the snap ring (Z0010244) using
external snap ring pliers.
4. Position the center pulley puller at the end of
the driveshaft.
5. Attach
a suitable pulley puller to the pulley.
Hook the puller claws to the edge
of the pulley
as shown.
6. Tighten the center pulley puller bolt to remove
the pulley.
7. Remove the six field coil/compressor screws.
Then remove the field coil.
CAUTION!
Do not hold the field coil by the harness.

CAUTION!
Do not clip the puller claws into the pulley
groove to prevent pulley groove damage.
WARNING!
Removing the pulley will systematically
damage the pulley bearing.
