Note!
When integrating the controller, note that a
thermal mixer valve must always be fitted to
limit the maximum temperature and which
must be set independently of the boiler to,
e.g., 60 °C.
Note!
A command must be passed to the boiler via
the C1/C2 contact on the controller whenever
the temperature in the solar cylinder is not suf-
ficient and post-heating by means of the boiler
is required. This takes place over the connec-
tion between the controller on the solar cylin-
der unit and the boiler, using the supplied
C1/C2 cable.
6 Start-up
As delivered, the pipe spiral in the cylinder unit already
contains the quantity of solar fluid necessary for operat-
ing the solar energy system.
The following sequence must be adhered to during
start-up:
• Fill the cylinder with drinking water and bleed the hot
water pipes
• Adjust the customer-preset controller parameters in
order to optimise the system
• Carry out pressure equalisation on the solar energy
system
• Check for leaks
• Set the thermostatic mixer valve
6.1
Filling the DHW system
• Fill the drinking water system via the cold water inlet
and bleed the system at the highest hot water extrac-
tion point.
• Check the cylinder and system for leaks.
• Check the function and correct setting of all control
and monitoring devices.

Filling and bleeding the post-heating system
• Fill and bleed the heating side via the cylinder flow
and return connections.
• Check the system for leaks.
• Check the function and correct setting of all control
and monitoring devices.
