2.11 Setting disc working depth

Disc working depth is regulated by two hydraulic cylinders connected in series.
These cylinders must be bled before the implement is used.

Bleed the cylinders as described in
“4.11 Bleeding the hydraulic system to set disc front tool”
. Make it a habit to always bleed the hydraulic system each time the implement is
hitched to the tractor as well as a couple of times throughout the day.

Set the working depth using the disc front tool hydraulics when driving in the field. The depth to
which the discs work depends on prevailing conditions and must checked out in the field.
The working depth can be regulated continuously during work and adapted to suit shifting condi-
tions in the field.
On the right hand side of the implement there is a scale where working depth can be read from the
tractor cab.
NOTE!
The figures represent a scale value, where 10 is maximum depth. The actual working depth
can only be determined by the results obtained from each completed pass.
