9 Trouble-shooting

Unsatisfactory wash result
using liquid detergent ▪ Liquid detergent does
not contain bleach. ▸ Use washing detergent con-
taining bleach (see page
19).
▸ Fruit, coffee and tea stains
cannot be removed.
Soap deposits on washing ▪ Water hardness is too
high. ▸ Soap detergent should only
be used if the water hard-
ness is below 25 °fH (see
page 19).
Colour run ▪ Non-fast colours in the
wash. ▸ Wash white and coloured
textiles separately.
▸ Follow fabric care labels.
▪ Items in the wash
whose colour has run. ▸ Empty garment pockets.
Unsatisfactory rinsing per-
formance ▪ Too much washing de-
tergent. ▸ Adjust washing detergent
dosage to water hardness
and degree of soiling (see
page 19).
▪ Very soft water (below
15 °fH).
▸ Use the additional func-
tion.
Fabric stains ▪ Rust stains.
▪ Chemical effect.
▪ Residues from hair care
products, cosmetics
and plants can react
with the suds to cause a
chemical reaction that
can result in staining.
▸ Brush out pockets in gar-
