3-1
BACNET INTERFACE MODULE ADDRESSES
When interfacing the BACnet Interface Module with a BACnet MS/TP network, the module
address must be physically set by moving a series of DIP switches. Refer to Figure 1-4 in
Chapter 1, General Information, for location of the “A Bank” (Address) DIP switches.
Note: When setting DIP switches, ensure that power to the board is OFF.
3-1.1
Default Address Value
Note that all BACnet Interface Modules are factory-set to the address of “8” when shipped.
(The default value is shown in a yellow highlighted row in Table 3-1.)
3-1.2
Changing Address Value
To change the module’s address from its default setting, move the “A Bank” dip switches to
the corresponding ON/OFF positions for the desired address value. Refer to Table 3-1 for a
list of available addresses and how to position them.
3-2
BAUD RATE
Refer to Table 1-1 in Chapter 1, General Information, to set to the module’s serial baud rate
to the baud rate of your MS/TP network by positioning the “B Bank” DIP switches. Note that
the default is 38,400 baud, set at the factory.
