Secondary Installation

Figure 72: Correct Media Setup & Flame Appearance

Place the supplied black glass media into the recessed burner area of the porcelain tray. Be sure not to block 

the front and rear air slots of the recessed area as they are important for optimal operation of the appliance. 

Proper media installation will result in a flame similar to what is shown below. If the flame is too tall or 

too blue in colour remove the porcelain tray and adjust the burner shutter accordingly (see

The U37GI is also supplied with optional vermiculite burner media that may be used instead of black glass 

media if desired.
