Replacing a Faulty PSU Module

Immediate replacement:
When a PSU fails, it should be replaced
immediately. However, do not remove the PSU module unless a
replacement is readily available. Removing a PSU without a
replacement will cause severe disruptions to the internal airflow and the
subsystem will overheat, possibly causing irreparable damage to some
of the subsystem components.
5.5.2 Replacing the PSU Module
WARNING!
Although the PSU modules are fully redundant, it is not advisable to run
the
AR3016G
with a single PSU module for an extended period of time. If
the second PSU module fails, the subsystem will be shut down.
To replace a PSU, please follow these steps:
Step 1.
Turn off the PSU.
Using the power switch that can be found on
the left side of each PSU module. (See
Figure 5-12
)
Step 2.
Disconnect the power cord that connects the PSU to the main
power source.

Step 3.
Remove the PSU retention screw
that secures the ejection handle
to the chassis. (See
