Pulse And Tone Dialing
1. If your home is equipped with a touch tone dialing sys-
tem, set the
TONE switch to the Tone position.
2. If your home is equipped with a rotary (pulse) dialing
system, set the
PULSE switch to the Pulse position.
3. If you are unsure which system you have, set the switch
to the
TONE
position. Lift the handset. When you get a
dial tone, dial a telephone number. If the dial tone contin-
ues, move the switch to
PULSE
, and then dial the tel-
ephone number again.
In order for the Caller ID callback feature to
work (see using the Caller ID Function), you
must set the
PULSE/TONE switch to the Tone
position.
Receiving A Phone Call
1. Be sure the
RINGER
switch is set to the
HI
or
LOW
po-
sition.
2. When the phone rings and the caller’s information shows
on the display window (refer to Using the Caller ID Func-
tion), Lift the handset or press the
SPEAKERPHONE but-
ton and begin your conversation.
3. Set the Ringer switch to the OFF position when you do
not want to be interrupted by the phone ringing.
Placing A Phone Call
1. Lift the handset or press the
SPEAKERPHONE
button
and wait for a dial tone.
2. Dial the telephone number you wish to call. The number
will appear on the display window.
Speakerphone Button
1. Receiving Incoming Calls
A When the phone rings and the caller’s information
shows on the display window (refer to Using the Caller
ID Function ), press and release the Speakerphone but-
ton and talk normally into the built-in microphone from
a distance of 5-6 inches.

Composition à impulsions et à tonalité
1.Si v otre mode de composition est à tonalité, réglez le
commutateur à la position “ TONE ”.
2.Si v otre mode de composition est à impulsions, réglez le
commutateur à la position “
PUSLE
”.
3.Si v ous n’êtes pas certain(e) de la f açon dont vous dev ez
régler votr e téléphone, f aites un test en plaçant le
commutateur “TONE/PULSE” à la position “ TONE ”.
Composez un numéro de téléphone; si l’appel est acheminé,
laissez le commutateur à cette position, sinon, réglez-le à
“ PULSE ”.
Afin que la composition à partir du réper toire
de l’affi cheur f onctionne, il est impér atif que le
commutateur du mode de compositon “ TONE/
PULSE ” soit régler à la position “TONE”.
Recevoir un appel
1.Assur ez-vous que le commutateur “ RINGER ” est réglé à la
position “
HI
” ou “
LOW
”.
2.Lor sque le téléphone sonne et que les données de
l’appelant apparaissent à l’af fic ha ge (référ ez-vous à la sec-
tion “Utiliser l’af fic heur” pour plus de détails). Soulev ez le
combiné ou appuyez sur la touc he “
SPEAKERPHONE
”
pour débuter la conve rsation.
3.Régler le commutateur de la sonner ie à la position “ OFF ”
lorsque v ous ne désirez pas êtr e interrompu par la sonner ie
du téléphone.
Placer un appel
1.Soulev ez le combiné et appuyez sur la touc he
“SPEAKERPHONE” et attendez la tonalité.
2.Composez le numér o de téléphone désiré. Le numéro
apparaîtr a à l’affi ch ag e.

Soulevez le combiné ou appuy ez sur la touche
“SPEAKERPHONE” et r elâchez-la, puis débuter la con-
versation en parlant nor malement dans le microphone
intégré et ce, à une distance de 5 à 6 pouces du micro-
phone.
