Room Monitor
Using Room Monitor
Call another handset (internal call)
Answer an external call while on an internal call
To receive normal phone calls again:
1 Press , press or to select
.
Press .
This feature allows you to monitor sounds in
another room.
Place a handset in the room you wish to monitor, it
will function as a microphone. A second handset
can be used as a remote speaker, allowing you to
monitor sounds in the room.
1 Using the handset to be placed in the room to be
monitored, Press .
2 Press or to select

3 On the monitored handset, press or
to select the original handset.
Press . The handset to monitor will ring.
4 On the original handset, press
Room monitor will start. To exit room monitor,
press .
This feature only works when both handsets are
within the range of the base.
If either handset is out of range, the function will
stop.
1 Press . The symbol is displayed and
you will hear the internal call dialing tone.
2 Press or to select the name,
number, or the handset you want to call. Press
or . The handset will ring.
3 When the called handset answers, press
or place the handset back on the base to end
the call.
During an internal call, if an external caller is trying
to get through, you will hear a series of short beeps
to alert you to the call.
If you have Caller ID, the caller’s information will
also be displayed.
1 To end the internal call, press then press
to take the external call.
