1. CAUTION
Read this manual carefully before installa on, opera on and maintenance. It is hazardous to perform any ac on
which is not stated on this manual or authorised by our technical assistance department. UNICA TERM GmbH does
not assume any responsibility for accidents or injuries caused by negligence.
2. DO NOT
- Avoid reading and following this manual, or deviate from its
instruc ons.
- Use the stove for any purpose other than hea ng.
- Touch the stove’s surface whilst in opera on.
- Let children or people with disabili es use the stove.
- Let people without a basic knowledge of safety rules and proce-
dures use the stove.
- Insert pellets manually into the
fi
rebox.
- Operate the stove with parts which are faulty or not in com-
pliance with factory standards.
- Operate the stove without cleaning the
fi
rebox in case of igni on
failure.
- Operate the stove within 10-15 minutes from the previous
a empt in case of igni on failure.
- Place any burning pellets in the bin a er cleaning the
fi
rebox.
- Insert any pellets taken from the combus on chamber or the
fi
rebox into the hopper.
- Fail to clean the stove thoroughly, including the window glass
and the exhaust pipe.
- Clean the stove with water.
- Operate the stove in case of any component part’s failure.
- Expose yourself directly to the hot air stream for too long.
- Expose animals, plants or any
fl
ammable items to the stove’s hot
air stream.
- Place anything on the top of the stove.
- Dry any clothes or objects on the stove.
- Alter the stove’s factory se ngs
- Install the stove in unsuitable places and condi ons.
- Use any fuels other than wood pellets.
- Use any pellets other than those cer
fi
ed by DIN 51731 regula ons.
- Fail to perform the standard maintenance procedure.
- Stand within 2 meters from the stove in case of igni on failure for
the
fi
rst 10 minutes.
- Operate the stove with the glass door open.
- Do not touch hot parts of the stove with bare hands.
3. IMPORTANT WARNINGS
- Switch o
ff
the stove in case of failure or malfunc oning.
- Never place any pellets manually into the
fi
rebox.
- Before ac va ng the star ng procedure, make sure that the
fi
re-
box is empty.
- Every ac on which is not stated on this manual can be hazar-
dous.
- Do not use water to clean the internal or external parts of the
stove.
- Install the stove only in safe places with minimum risk of
fi
re.
- Do not place the stove on
fl
oors made of combus ble materials. In
case of wooden or
fl
ammable
fl
ooring, always place an insula ng
material between the stove and the
fl
oor.
- The pellet stove should not be used to cook or heat up beverages or
food.
- Ensure maximum safety when performing any ac ons.
4. SAFETY
- The installa on of the stove and exhaust pipe, the electrical con-
nec on, and the opera on check must always be performed by
authorised and quali
fi
ed personnel.
- The stove should be installed according to the local country/
regional regula ons.
- To ensure the correct usage of the stove and its electronic parts,
the instruc ons stated on this manual should be followed tho-
roughly.
- The stove must be fuelled with 6mm diameter pellets only, in
accordance with DIN 51731 regula on.
- For your safety, follow the installa on, opera on and mainte-
nance instruc ons on this manual exactly without devia on. Fai-
lure to follow these instruc ons may result in a possible
fi
re
hazard and will void the warranty; also UNICA TERM GmbH will
be exempted from any responsibility.
- Before performing any ac on, the user must read and under-
stand every sec on of the instruc on manual.
- Any altera on and the improper use of the stove may be dan-
gerous for the user’s safety. UNICA TERM GmbH will not take any
responsibility in these circumstances.
- When the stove is in opera on its surfaces may be very hot; always
take proper precau ons when touching the stove.
- The user must not operate the stove if the glass door is broken or
open, or if any component parts are faulty.
- Before cleaning the stove or performing any maintenance opera ons
the power switch should be in the OFF posi on, the power cable
should be unplugged, and the user must ensure that the stove and
the ashes in the combus on chamber are cold.
- In the event of
fi
re in the exhaust pipe, switch o
ff
the stove, unplug
the power cable and do not open the glass door. Call the
fi
re brigade
at the earliest opportunity.
- The stove should be powered with a device that includes a ground
wire (grounding system), in accordance with
73/23 CEE and 93/68
CEE regula ons.
