PROBLEM.
CAUSE
SOLUTION
THE WATER COMING FROM THE SOLAR
SYSTEM IS NOT AS WARM AS IT SHOULD
BE
1.
The water is flowing too fast through the
panels.
Test the water flow rate. Water flow
through a single panel should be less
than 10 gallons per minute. Adjust the
3-way valve to bypass some of the water.
2.
Seasonal normal operation.
In the cooler months of the year, or on
cool, partly cloudy days, temperature
rise through the panels may only be 2
°
or
3
°
. Use the back of your hand to feel the
water temperature difference at the pool
return inlet.
