Description & Indications for Use
The Endo-Eze AET Air Motor (REF/UP #1178) is a standard E-type motor. It is intended for use
with the Endo-Eze AET endodontic system. The Endo-Eze AET system and all associated components
comprise a unique technique for canal shaping and cleaning known as Anatomic Endodontic Technology
(AET).
The Endo-Eze AET E-Type Air Motor contains the following.
1. Coupling, handpiece side
2. O-Rings – (3) three O-rings, spray connection
integrated
3. Mechanical direction. Clockwise and counter-
clockwise rotation direction selected with speed
regulation ring.
a. F = Clockwise
b. R = Counter-clockwise
4. Supply hose connection threads
5. Rubber gasket
Symbols
This symbol means that air motor exterior can be rinsed and disinfected in thermal washer disinfectors. For interior cleaning,
Ultradent approves thermal washer disinfectors manufactured by Miele. Following every thermal washer-disinfection procedure,
ensure that the product is cleaned and prepared using air motor cleaning products from Kavo, W&H, or similar.
This symbol means that air motor can be sterilized in an autoclave up to a maximum temperature of 135º C. Ensure that the air
motor is fully cleaned and prepared before any sterilization procedure. Ensure that air motor is taken out of sterilizer as soon as
sterilization is complete.
Precautions & Warnings
The Endo-Eze AET Air Motor is designed to be used with the Endo-Eze AET contra-angle, but it can be used with any standard E-Type attachment.

When removing the air motor from the air line, make sure that the speed regulating ring is set to position F or R to prevent it coming off due to any

buildup of pressure. Do not remove the air motor during operation.
Air motor must be cleaned, prepared and sterilized prior to initial use. See section entitled “Cleaning, Preparing and Sterilizing Endo-Eze AET Air

When operating air motor, always consider safety of patient.

Follow Endo-Eze AET instructions for technique and procedure.

Do not drop or hit the air motor against a hard object.

Do not disassemble or alter the air motor.

Before use, place the attachment you intend to use onto E-type motor, run for a few seconds and wipe away any excess oil. Note: If air motor does

not function normally, cease operation and return to Ultradent for repair.

Precautions and Warnings for Cleaning, Preparing and Sterilizing
To minimize risk of cross infection, ensure that protective gloves are worn throughout entire cleaning, disinfection and sterilization process.

Ensure that the air motor is cleaned and lubricated before any sterilization procedure. See section below entitled “Lubrication of Endo-Eze AET Air

Motor” for more information on lubrication of the air motor.
Sterilize air motor after every patient.

Sterilize only with distilled water.
•
Ensure that air motor is removed from sterilizer as soon as sterilization is complete.

Remove Endo-Eze AET E-type air motor from the air line. When removing the air motor from the air line, make sure that the speed regulating ring is

set to position F or R to prevent it coming off due to any buildup of pressure. Do not remove the air motor during operation.
Clean and disinfect the exterior of the air motor using alcohol-soaked gauze, cotton roll or cellulose paper.

Clean and disinfect the interior of the air motor using thermal washer-disinfector.
