Cleaning and maintenance

The humidifier should be cleaned at least

once a week.

1

Before cleaning, turn the appliance off by turning

the control knob to position

 and disconnect the

plug from the wall outlet.

2

Remove the water tank from the base of the

humidifier, lifting it up. Turn the water tank upside down.

3

Loosen the cap with the valve by turning it counter

clockwise and drain the water remaining in the tank.

Fill water tank with hot water and mild detergent

(dishwashing liquid), tightly screw the cap with the

valve and shake the tank several times. Empty the

tank. Repeat the operation several times by pouring

water into the tank without detergent until complete

removal of detergent residue.

Pay attention not to leave any cleaning

solution (detergent) in the water tank.

Empty the base of the humidifier removing the

accumulated water (see section “Draining the base of

humidifier”).

4

Gently clean the ultrasonic transducer, using the

brush supplied.

Regular cleaning reduces scaling.

Prevention against scale build

Use cooled boiled water or distilled water. The water

temperature should not exceed 40°C.

At least once a week clean the water tank, humidifier

base and ultrasonic transducer.

Before using the humidifier, always pour fresh water

into the water tank.

If you do not use the humidifier for a long time,

empty the water tank and humidifier base, then wash

all parts of the humidifier, wipe and dry it.

The appliance is best stored in its original packaging.

Descaling the air humidifier

1

Turn the appliance off by turning the control knob

to position

and disconnect the plug from the wall

outlet.

E

2

Fill the container with 50 ml of vinegar

(6% solution of acetic acid) and 100 ml of water, and

mix the whole. Pour the resulting solution into the base

of the humidifier for 30 minutes.

3

Empty the base of the humidifier (see section

“Draining the base of humidifier”) and remove the scale

with a soft cloth.

4

Rinse the base of humidifier with clean water and

dry it with an absorbent cloth.

Be careful that no water gets into the fan

outlet (electrical components) because it

may cause serious damage to the

humidifier.

If water gets into the fan outlet, contact

your service center.

Advice on disposal

Our goods come in optimised packaging. This

basically consists in using non-contaminating

materials which should be handed over to the local

waste disposal service as secondary raw materials.

This product complies with EU Directive

2002/96/EC. The crossed wheelie bin

symbol shown on the appliance indicates that

when it comes to dispose of the product it

must not be included in with household refuse. It must

be taken to a special refuse collection point for electric

and electronic appliances or returned to the distributor

when purchasing a similar appliance. Under current

refuse disposal regulations, users who fail to take

discarded appliances to special refuse collection points

may be penalised. Correct disposal of discarded

appliances means that they can be recycled and

processed ecologically, helping the environment and

allowing materials used in the product to be reused. For

more information on available waste disposal schemes

contact your local refuse service or the shop where the

product was purchased. Manufacturers and importers

are responsible for ecological recycling, processing and

disposal of products, whether directly or via a public

system.

Your local town council can provide you with information

about how to dispose of obsolete appliances.
