The alarm outputs 

(ALM terminals)

 are dry relay outputs which may be connected to

an external voltage source.

The relay is activated 

(energized) 

when the alarm is off, allowing an external alarm

(if it has a battery backup connected)

 to sound if the unit loses power.

The contact rating of the relay is 24 V d.c. 1 A.
