• Having the table insert in place, turn the knob (

A

the bolt (

B

• Insert the riving knife all the way. Install the guard previously as

shown in figure

C

.

• Turn knob (

) counterclockwise to set the bolt out and inside the

riving knife orifice (

D

), securing the rivet knife and the guard in

place.

• Pull the rivet knife upward to verify is firmly set in place (

E

).

• The distance between the curved edge of the rivet knife and the

cutting disc teeth shall be between 0,11” and 0,31“ as indicated in

figure

F

.

• Check the rivet knife is aligned with the cutting disc: set a ruler or

a straight and rigid edge against both, the disc and the rivet knife.

The rivet knife shall be within the alignment zone as indicated in

figure

G

. If not aligned properly, remove the table insert and adjust

the rivet knife loosening the screws (

H

tighten the screws (

H

).

• Check the guard is mounted right: The guard shall touch and be

aligned with the table surface when not making contact with the

table, so the disc is covered. When pushing a work piece towards the

disc, the guard should move freely up, as the work piece comes

closer to the disc, as indicated in figure

J

.

                          • Each time you replace a disc, verify alignment and

mounting of the rivet knife and the guard.

• When replacing the rivet knife, it shall be replaced with one made

of steel, with tensile force of 580 N/mm2, with flat sides and

thickness smaller than the cutting width and at least, 0.007” larger
