OPERATING UNDER FREEZING CONDITIONS
FINAL ALIGNMENT
NOTE: Alignment procedures must be followed to
prevent unintended contact of rotating parts. Follow
coupling manufacturer's installation and operation
procedures.
1-Run the unit in actual operating conditions for a sufficient
length of time to bring the pump, driver, and associated systems
to operating temperature.
2-Shut down the pump and lock out driver.
3-Remove coupling guard. Refer to coupling guard
installation and disassembly instructions in
Appendix II .
4-Check alignment while unit is still hot per alignment
criteria in the
Installation section.
5-Reinstall coupling guard. Refer to coupling guard
installation and disassembly instructions in
Appendix II .
6-Unlock driver power.
Exposure to freezing conditions while pump is idle could
cause liquid to freeze and damage the pump.
Fluid inside pump, if supplied, should also be
drained.
1-Slowly close discharge valve.
2-Shut down and lock out driver to prevent accidental
rotation.
