STEP 1: Select a straight, healthy tree, one devoid of branches, vines or other obstructions which may encumber your ability to climb safety.

The installation tree must have a minimum diameter of 9-inches (23 cm) at treestand installation height (i.e., seat height) or a maximum

treestand installation diameter of 20-inches (51 cm).

WARNING! These True North Treestands Inc. product(s) were designed for installation on trees with a minimum diameter of 9-inches (23 cm) at

treestand installation height (i.e., seat height) and a maximum treestand installation diameter of 20-inches (51 cm). DO NOT use your True North

Treestands Inc. product(s) on trees with trunk diameters that do not meet this minimum diameter requirement. Failure to follow these instructions

may result in serious injury or death!

STEP 2: Locate the two (2) criss cross ratchet straps. The criss cross straps come in two (2) sides. There is a sewn-in loop on the ratchet

side and on the strap side. The strap side of the assembly is installed on the v-bar as shown in Figure 34 and the ratchet side is installed

on the rung below the two-piece adjustable stand-off bar attachment point as shown in Figure 35. Install by slipping the ratchet portion

or the loose strap end through the loop and pull tight (forming a slip knot).

WARNING! You must check the ground under the treestand to make sure it is firm and level. Sloping ground or uneven surfaces (e.g., one

foot on a rock) can cause your ladder to tilt or shift off the tree as you climb. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious

injury or death!
