Warning
Your
passenger
should
be
thoroughly
familiar
with
the
motorcycle’s operation.
The passenger can cause loss of
control of the motorcycle by
incorrect
positioning
during
cornering and sudden movements.
It is important that the passenger
sits still while the motorcycle is in
motion and does not interfere with
the operation of the motorcycle.
If a passenger is carried, the rider
should instruct the passenger to
keep his or her feet on the
passenger footrests and to firmly
hold onto the seat strap or the
rider's waist or hips.
The passenger should also be
advised to lean with the rider when
travelling around corners and not to
lean unless the rider does so.
Do not carry animals on your
motorcycle.
Warning
The
handling
and
braking
capabilities of a motorcycle will be
affected by the presence of a
passenger. The rider must make
allowances for these changes
when operating the motorcycle with
a passenger and should not
attempt such operation unless
trained to do so and without
becoming familiar and comfortable
with the changes in motorcycle
operating characteristics that this
brings about.
Motorcycle
operation
without
making
allowances
for
the
presence of a passenger could
lead to loss of motorcycle control
and an accident.
