Configuring Multiple, Independent Visionarys
The
Main
tab of Visionary configuration software includes buttons for importing and exporting
the Visionary’s configuration settings to a file on the host computer’s hard drive. It also
includes a
Visionary Name
field to help identify a given configuration. If more than one
Visionary is being configured from the same computer, fill in the
Visionary Name
field to
identify the unit being configured, then click the
Export Settings
button to save the
configuration to a file.
Before changing the configuration on a Visionary, click the
Import Settings
button to retrieve
the previous configuration, then make any configuration changes. Once the changes have
been programmed (using the
Program Settings
button), save the changes to the host
computer’s hard drive by clicking the
Export Settings
button and overwriting the existing
configuration file.
By following this “import, modify, upload, export” procedure, multiple Visionarys can be
maintained without inadvertently transposing configuration information between Visionarys (for
example, accidentally programming two Visionarys with the same IP address).
