Raider Installation and Operation Rev. 1.4.2
OPERATIONAL TESTING
1. Program a mobile or portable radio to each repeater channel being added or converted.
2. Make sure that all controllers are programmed with the correct repeater number and area bits.
3. With all components of the system receiving power, key the radio. Notice that the CARRIER
LED comes "on" with each handshake request. The RECEIVE LED should come "on" each
time a correct ID code is received.
If the repeater has been adjusted correctly, it will handshake with the radio. Make sure that the
Raider handshakes on the first or second attempt each time the radio is keyed up.
It is normal to see the TRANSMIT LED come "on" every 10 seconds or so. This is an idle message
that is being transmitted to the mobiles.
Every 30 minutes the Raider broadcasts the station CWID (Morse Code identification) if enabled.
If a conversation is in progress, the CWID transmission will wait until the conversation has
completed before identifying.
