Can the length of the network cable affect the failopen functionality
of Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500?
Yes, the network cable connecting Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500 and other
devices must not be longer than 100 meters (328 feet). Otherwise, Network
VirusWall Enforcer 2500 failopen will not work.
Can I configure the time interval for Logs?
For this version of Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500, you cannot configure the time
interval for both Event logs and Network Virus logs.
Can I register a Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500 device to more than
one Control Manager server?
No, you cannot register a device to more than one Control Manager server. Register a
device to only one Control Manager server. Register a device to a Control Manager
server through the Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500 preconfiguration

Does Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500 support spanning tree
protocol (STP)?
Yes, Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500 supports STP. However, ensure that STP is
enabled in your L2 or L3 device. Otherwise, if one of the links fails in a port
redundancy deployment, Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500 is unable to determine
the path to take through the spanning tree protocol (STP). Refer to the

Will modifying the duplex settings from half-duplex to full-duplex
have any adverse effect on Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500?
Modifying the interface speed and duplex mode setting from the Preconfiguration
console causes Network VirusWall Enforcer 2500 to refresh its settings and perform
a network refresh. During this time, the network connection is disconnected for a
short time.
